Weymouth College Camping near the 2012 Olympic Sailing Events – Olympics Only
Weymouth College Sports Centre is situated on the Jurassic coastline, less than 1 mile from the best viewing spot in town for the Olympic and Paralympic sailing! The College, which hosts a range of sports facilities will be our primary site for the Olympic sailing.
Weymouth College Camping is only a 20 minute walk from Weymouth Town Centre, and on the days when you don’t have tickets you can enjoy Weymouth beach where there will be big screens and lots of extra activities and cultural events taking place during the games. In the evenings you will be a short walk away from a vast array of bars and restaurants along the bustling harbour to keep you entertained!

Facilities
Parking, 24 hr running water, hot showers, toilets, allocated washing up area, bar – serving cold beverages, alcohol, hot drinks and snacks (including breakfast), charging points, wifi, laundry service, access to the sports centre facilities (additional payment required).

i am interested at staying at your college camp site during the sailing events at weymouth but could you email me to let me know if it is possible to pitch a motorhome there and if there are electic hook ups, it would be for 2 adults and a dog thank you
Hi Peter,
Unfortunately our sites are tent only under the conditions of the Permitted Development Act and as they are on sports ground we cannot allow dogs. We do offer pre-erected tents if that’s of interest, the cost to hire these is £25 per night for a good size four man tent.
Is there reliable transportation to and from the campsite to areas around town, and into the town? We are traveling from out of the country and will not have a car but totally reliant on public transportation, we really want to pop over from London though for a day or two to catch the sailing events.

Weymouth College is in walking distance to Nothe Fort, the best ticketed viewing spot for the sailing and town is also in walking distance of the site, although there will be regular buses into town and the station. There are also a number of non-ticketed spots to catch the sailing as well.
