With less than 300 days to go and the results of the ballot about to go live, campingninja has released 150 early bird camping passes for the Volunteer Villages slap bang in the middle of Glasgow ahead of next summer’s spectacle – and they are selling fast!
It’s hard to believe that 12 months ago we were reflecting on a whirlwind summer where we hosted over 7,000 campers from across 34 nations in London during the greatest show on earth – the London 2012 Olympics! And now we are doing it all again – by popular demand – we are back with even more to offer campers in our exclusive Glasgow Volunteer and Fan Villages. Next summer we will be recreating the magic of Camping in London… in Glasgow, across 2 large sites based at community sports clubs in South West and South East Glasgow and almost 50% of Earlybird passes are sold out already!
The first two campsites to go on sale are less than a 30 minute journey on public transport from major venues including the; velodrome, aquatics centre, Hampden Park, The Glasgow International Hockey Centre and Ibrox Stadium for the rugby 7s. The majority of all other venues will also take less than 60 minutes to reach via public transport and even less by car if you dare to take on the traffic!
Campingninja has released 150 earlybird volunteer camping passes at a reduced special rate with a money back guarantee if you are not selected to volunteer, that can be purchased here. Volunteers will need to book fast as passes are selling out fast! Further passes and single night camping prices for ticket holders will also be released at an introductory rate of £11 per night – prices will then increase incrementally up to £21 per night thereafter. Keep a check on the website CampinginGlasgow.com for regular updates. There is also a handy Volunteer forum purposely for volunteers to meet prior to their stay and communicate ideas and requests to Campingninja.
