Over the last few weeks we have been speaking to Games Makers as much as we can about their shift dates/times as we realise that a lot of you will be working outside of when the actual games take place. In effect we have been doing our best to secure camping space that will be available prior to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and are still very much on the case!
As a result we have managed to secure extended opening dates at the Match Day Centres in Walthamstow, only a 20 minute bus ride from the olympic Park. The venue offers fantastic facilities for Games Makers and will now be open from the 16th July through to the 13th August.
This is not the only site we plan to open for an extended period, we are currently trying to establish whether there is enough demand to open up more space prior to the Paralympics and are conducting a Facebook poll that you can complete here. We are also hoping to open up one of our sites in Weymouth from as early as the 9th July and we will have details to follow shortly!
This week due to an influx in demand we have also opened our 10th camping at the Games location at Barking RFC, only 30 minutes from the Olympic Park via tube and easily accessible from the M11.
We have also noticed that a lot of Games Makers are now in the process of planning their journey to and from the Park and we have already included some details in the campsite profiles on Campingninja, but a good place to find out more information is the Transport for London website. Also you can chat to fellow Games Makers who will be staying at our sites and travelling to the Olympic venues on our Facebook Page, so please feel free to chat and share useful hints and tips!
Keep an eye out for more campsite opening updates!
