We are delighted to report that Camping at the Games has a global following as this week we were featured in a special report by Canadian Daily, The Vancouver Sun! The lengthy piece goes into detail about how Canadian’s heading to London this summer can keep their travel costs down by camping at one of our 8 temporary campsites across London, Reading and Weymouth. And this isn’t the first time we have been featured in news from across the globe, last December BBC News Worldwide featured us in their travel tips for 2012…so we can certainly expect plenty of international visitors at our campsites this summer!
There has been more hype this week about the rising cost of hotel prices in London during the Olympic Games and we were also featured in a news piece by NUS, who have a number of Student Ambassadors representing student volunteers who will be requiring budget accommodation at the games this summer. For both British and International Games Makers the cost of staying in London during the Olympics and Paralympics is a real concern.
At Camping at the Games we are doing our up-most to make the Olympics accessible to everyone by keeping costs to a minimum and offering maximum flexibility for Games Makers…and it has been a hit! We have already received an influx in bookings from campers across the UK and beyond including Holland, Belgium and Germany.
With less than 150 days to go until the Olympics there is a real buzz in the air and the sports clubs hosting the sites are really excited about it too. This is a fantastic opportunity for the clubs to get involved in the games and to take something from the Olympic Legacy with the money raised!
